A sedan from Milwaukee to Madison starts at $225. An SUV starts at $325. This is a base point-to-point rate. Parking, wait time, tolls, and gratuity are added separately. Business accounts may qualify for net terms.
Which roads do we take?
The standard route follows I-94 West toward Madison. We exit at the appropriate Madison interchange based on your destination. Some trips use U.S. 18 through Waukesha and Jefferson for a more scenic route. Downtown Madison approaches use University Avenue, John Nolen Drive, or East Washington Avenue.
How long does the ride take?
Plan on 75 to 90 minutes under normal traffic. Rush hour near Milwaukee and Madison can add 15 to 25 minutes. Construction on I-94 or I-90 causes occasional slowdowns. Midday travel is usually the smoothest.
When should I add a buffer?
Add 20 minutes during weekday rush from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Add 30 minutes if you are heading to a state government meeting, UW-Madison event, or Monona Terrace conference. Winter storms can delay the corridor significantly. If you have a flight out of Dane County Regional Airport, tell us your airline so we can time the arrival.
